What it's all about
Before:
I'm a 44 year old mother of 4 that spent the later half of her 30's either pregnant, nursing, or binge-ing on bacon laced baked goods.
I have gained and lost the same 25 lbs at least 4 times in the last 5 years.
I started running when I was 42.
I started doing triathlons shortly thereafter.
I have worked out 4-5 days a week for the last 26 months.
I have only lost 4 pounds.
I am 5' 4", and currently 192 lbs.
I am a fat girl.
I am trying:
-to be a good example to my kids
-to become healthier
-to lose weight
-to not become horribly bitter
-to not compare myself to others
-to become a better athlete
-to look the part of a triathlete
I am TRI-ing!
Now:
I'm a 46 year old mother of 4 that spent the later half of her 30's either pregnant, nursing, or binge-ing on bacon laced baked goods.
I have gained and lost the same 25 lbs at least 4 times in the last 5 years.
I started running when I was 42.
I started doing triathlons shortly thereafter.
I have worked out 4-5 days a week for the last 26 months.
I have lost 41 pounds.
I am 5' 4", and currently 166 lbs.
I am a Technically no longer a fat girl, but still carry around all the emotional baggage that comes with being over weight.
I am trying:
-to be a good example to my kids
-to become healthier
-to lose weight
-to not become horribly bitter
-to not compare myself to others
-to become a better athlete
-to look the part of a triathlete
I am now an Ironman.
These are my stories.
